http://www.dai-tuebingen.deThe success story of Mickey Mouse is unique and almost every child knows the little mouse with the red pants. Almost a hundred years ago, the animator Walt Disney released the short film "Steamboat Willie," with which he was able to captivate a large audience for the mouse in pants for the first time. Since then, Mickey has made many new friends with Goofy, Donald Duck, and his loyal dog Pluto and has experienced numerous exciting adventures. Even today, the appearances of the Disney characters have lost none of their humor and still know how to make people of all ages laugh. On this silent film afternoon for the whole family, the German-American Institute (d.a.i.) will showcase some of the first films from the history of Walt Disney. Included are, among others, Oswald the Lucky Rabbit and, of course, Mickey Mouse.
